GRANDE MURO OCCIDENTALE
The Great Western Wall is a work made of two parts: the building and the image.
The tuff stones build a counterfort connecting the city stronghold to the valley below, as much as the Old Door connects the inner part of the city to the outer one.
The image is the abstract representation of a natural structure: a valley of clay furrows. The equilibrium of stones and images generates a visual structure which reflects and transmits light.
The Great Wester Wall is a monument to the city and to the light.

GRANDE MURO OCCIDENTALE
GRANDE MURO OCCIDENTALE è un'opera composta da due strutture ordinative: quella muraria e quella iconica.
I blocchi di tufo, nella loro scansione ritmica, obbediscono all'ordine interno del muro.
Costituiscono un grande contrafforte che collega la rocca su cui poggia la città alla valle sotostante, così come Porta Vecchia collega l'interno del borgo con l'esterno.
L'immagine è trasposizione della struttura naturale del calanco: costruzione di luce e materia fuse nella superficie fotografica.
L'equilibrio di pietre e di immagini costituisce un'unica struttura attiva, ritmica e vibratile, che riflette e trasmette luce.
Grande Muro Occidentale è un monumento alla città e alla luce.
