SCALE REALI
THE FAÇADE  (m. 18 x 4)
The area of the work corresponds to the portion of the façade occupied by the staircase, marked by six windows and the lunette of the lift. The simultaneously ascending and descending visual structure was accomplished by means of white and black grounded marble applied on a new plaster base.
It physically connects the very foundations of the building to its roof-line. It is a metaphor for the stairways between earth and sky.
THE STAINED-GLASS WINDOWS  (m. 1.70 x 1.40 each)
The second part of the work consists of a pair of stained-glass windows placed in an arcade. The perspective is reflected about the central axis making the two windows symmetrical. They are lit in daytime by the sun-light and are best seen from the inside of the building. At night they are lit by artificial light and are best seen from the outside of the building. They symbolically mark the time-space threshold of the house.
THE ENTRANCE (m. 4.50 x 4.50)
The third part of the work consists of the entrance door of the house that becomes the basic element of the façade structure. Two black and white siamese parallelograms joined by their common white side connect the floor with the ceiling. Thus whoever enters the house, enters the work.
